Pheromone Cologne for Men: An Empirical Cologne for Men Review

Why?

Being a freelance product review specialist, I had the opportunity to review my first pheromone cologne for men back in December of 2007. Quite frankly, I thought it would be a cake walk! Truth be told, before I even tested any of these products, I simply did not believe that pheromones worked at all, and it's pretty easy to write a negative review so I thought this would be an easy task!

Then things got more complicated. After doing a lot of research online regarding pheromone colognes, I was really only able to come up with two solid conclusions from my research presented by the scientific community. In short, there are really only two schools of thought concerning pheromone colognes;

The 1st School of Thought States:

They really don't know if pheromone colognes work or not. Insufficient clinical data.

The 2nd School of Thought States:

Certain pheromones do "something" to "some" people, but they really don't know to what 'extent' or 'why some people respond to them and others do not.

This is where I came in. Since science has not really caught-up in the field of pheromone research, I decided that it would be best, as well as fun and amusing perhaps, to conduct my own empirical pheromone review. In short, I used the oldest method of scientific clinical evaluation...Observation!

I did what most product review folks shudder at the thought of doing, I ordered the products, field tested them over many days, and simply documented my observations and changes in behavior of folks around me, nothing more.

Scent of Eros for Men

Simply the best stand alone pheromone cologne for men per the results of my field testing, turned out to be James Vaughn Kohl's, The Scent of Eros for men.

The Scent of Eros is a pheromone cologne for men that is specifically designed to elicit a friendly response from folks near the wearer. Specifically, the pheromone cologne's claims and benefits are to;

"dissolve personal space between you and the target, enhancing others general friendliness, chattiness, attraction, and making them calm and relaxed around the wearer..."

The Scent of Eros is one men's pheromone cologne that did not disappoint, and I dare say should be the prime weapon in any pheromone cologne users arsenal. The Scent of Eros for Men delivered on it's claims. However, it is worth pointing out in the interest of being clear and comprehensive, that the Scent of Eros for Men is best suited and extremely more effective when used in conjunction with another pheromone cologne for men, called Alpha-7 Scented.

Why? Simply put, the Scent of Eros does tend to make folks more friendly, happy, and much more chatty around the wearer, which is a great benefit and social lubricant! However, the Scent of Eros by itself, is not one of those pheromone colognes that "usually" creates feelings of strong sexual attraction. I say usually, there are exceptions as to how intensely some folks respond, but typically the Scent of Eros will produce friendly, happy, chatty, touchy feely results, but not pure sexual attraction.

If one is not concerned with this, no problem. The Scent of Eros can be worn by itself socially, or even at work for better interaction with co-workers or clients. However, once you add Alpha-7 Scented into the mix, you now introduce a serious element of 'sexual attraction,' in addition to the friendly, happy, chatty, touchy feely atmosphere. Wearing both the Scent of Eros and Alpha-7 Scented pheromone colognes for Men typically produces some very interesting and intense results. Not recommended to be worn in combination in the workplace.

I will not ramble on about The Scent of Eros for Men here, as I have well reviewed this particular pheromone cologne for men elsewhere.

The pheromone cologne for men called Alpha-7 Scented is pretty darn close to being the Cadillac of strong sexual attraction based pheromone colognes! Alpha-7 Scented is a rather strong androstenone pheromone cologne, which not only performed extremely well during my field testing, but has gotten a lot of rave reviews by other pheromone users as well. This stuff is powerful, containing 40% more pheromones than the ever so popular Primal Instinct pheromone cologne!

The Alpha-7 Scented pheromone cologne used to be my number three pick, but after further testing, in a host of different social and non-social settings, I have deservedly upgraded it, to the overall number two spot!

This pheromone cologne has a great smell to it, not as good as the Scent of Eros for men, but still very good, and seems to last for a very long time once applied, depending upon where it is applied and weather conditions, it can last up to 12-15 hours, although not recommended to be worn that long without a refresher.

Essentially, Alpha-7 Scented is billed to create the aura of a "confident and classy man, while enhancing overall sexual attraction." In essence, Alpha-7 Scented seems to enhance folks perception of the wearer, folks seems to view, react, and treat the wear as he was of a higher status, or more important than the wearer may actually be. Yes, it is an odd result!

However, it's very worth mentioning that while using this pheromone cologne, that many members of the opposite sex will be drawn to the wear, as it does create that higher status, alpha male, strong sexual attraction aura about the wearer, and Alpha-7 Scented is every effective at doing this!

But, the odd thing is, the wearer must do one of two things, as many women will actually be rather intimidated to approach the wearer, as the pheromone signature transmitted by this cologne will suggest that the wearer is 'out of there league' so to speak. So the wearer of this pheromone cologne must usually either go out of his way to 'approach' the opposite sex, or initiate conversation first, or use Alpha-7 Scented in conjunction with the Scent of Eros for Men.

Why? Despite what mass marketing guru's may try to say about pheromone colognes, not all pheromones have the same effects, nor is there a pheromone cologne that 'does it all.'

Alpha-7 Scented is great for increasing one's perceived status or importance, and creating strong feelings of sexual attraction, BUT, others may be slightly intimidated by you. However, if you add the Scent of Eros into the mix, which effectively creates a friendly, chatty, touchy feely type atmosphere, the intimidation effects of the androstenone in the Alpha-7 are counter acted by the Scent of Eros.

This combination, applying both Alpha-7 along with the Scent of Eros, produces an over all friendly, chatty, touchy feely type atmosphere, in which strong feelings of sexual attraction are elicited. Frankly, of all the pheromone colognes that I have field test, no single product, nor combination of products has shown themselves to be as strong or powerful than this combination. You will get serious attention.

Liquid Trust

The Liquid Trust pheromone cologne for men is a rather mixed bag. It is not technically a pheromone cologne, but rather a unique oxytocin based hormone spray. Liquid Trust was ranked my number two product for sometime, however, after further field testing it had to be downgraded to the third position, just below Alpha-7 Scented.

Vero Labs' Liquid Trust is a powerful spray that is billed to have the effect of "creating a trusting and compassionate atmosphere about the wearer."

Liquid Trust, not being a true pheromone cologne, is backed by a little more scientific data, specifically concerning the effects of it's key ingredient, oxytocin.

Oxytocin is a hormone, with a number of positive effects, oxytocin has already been identified to play a major role in "sex, breast feeding, the formation of social ties and bonds, mood elevation, and is even being studied for it's possible use in treating social phobias and related disorders."

The latest press on oxytocin came about when clinical researchers discovered yet another side affect resulting from the inhalation of oxytocin, simply put, people become more open and trusting, and desirous to form social bonds.

I tested Liquid Trust on nearly a dozen occasions, and it is a very effective spray that seems to live up to it's reputation. With the exception of it's ability to create sexual attraction, it does not seem to do that, despite the marketing claims made by Vero Labs.

Also, it must be noted that Liquid Trust is a rather tempramental pheromone cologne like spray. It must be kept refrigerated to preserve the life of the oxytocin when not in use, and do to the rapid break down of the oxytocin when exposed to air, the product is usually only effective for about 1 to 3 hours max after application.

That being said, Liquid Trust when used properly does seem to live up to most of it's claims, Liquid Trust is really a sales persons dream come true, as well as a powerful ally to any job applicant. However, do to the fact that one needs three to four sprays dosage to bring about these positive effects, a bottle of Liquid Trust can go fairly quick if used regularly, therefore is best used for special occasions, such as a job interview, important sales call, or in conjunction with the Scent of Eros and Alpha-7 Scented before an important social date, assuming one desires to create that trusting bond atmosphere.
